Akitsu, located next to the Amstelland fire department opened it’s doors for the first time in 1989 in Amsterdam. Akitsu is not only one of the longest standing establishments in the neighborhood’s restaurant row, but one of the pioneers of Japanese cuisine in Amsterdam.
Imbued with the Japanese spirit, we serve straightforward but also stylish Japanese cuisine and sushi in our wood-tone “Izakaya-style” restaurant. Akitsu also features tatami tables.
